About the Art
“Wild Ocean” explores the abundance of nature and beauty of the ocean through the artist’s experience, exploring the physical landscape and the emotional responses it evokes. Her primary medium is collagraph printing because she is drawn to the sculptural qualities and rich range of color she can achieve in this way of working. Brooke is drawn to the physicality of making the sculptural plates from which her works are printed: ripping, tearing, and stapling fabric and mesh and slathering gesso. She uses the plates to make…
